About Dr Oona McEwan
A supportive approach to talk about difficult feelings and experiences.
Whether you are having momentary difficulties or are facing long-standing challenges, starting therapy can feel daunting. My approach focuses on creating a safe and supportive space to explore a range of difficulties including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, as well as challenges with relationships and being a parent.
Reframe Psychology was created to offer assessments, individual therapy and consultations using an integrative approach (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation-Based Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy and Compassion-Focussed Therapy). Through the assessment process, we will explore which approach is best suited to your needs and proceed accordingly. We will then work together to identify patterns and create changes that you want to make. I offer a 15-minute free telephone conversation to have an informal chat before committing to the assessment process.
The practice offers in-depth ADHD assessments in a neurodivergent-friendly environment (both online or in person). Assessments focus on understanding individuals' journeys, both in terms of adverse experiences and neurodivergence.
I work affirmatively with those who have experienced discrimination (i.e. those who identify as LGBTQ+, have been racially targeted, have experienced gender-based aggression and other forms of prejudice). I hold a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society. I am also registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). The practice is in London and I am currently offering online sessions. Get in touch for more information.
Take care, Oona
