Jess is a Clinical Psychologist, with over 10 years’ experience in various mental health and complex trauma services, supporting people experiencing distress. She is skilled in helping people who are struggling with painful emotions (such as anxiety, low mood, shame) as well as trauma and relational difficulties. Jess is passionate about offering a service that is highly respectful, compassionate, non-judgemental, and tailored to meet your individual needs. She therefore adapts her approach to meet you where you are at on your journey, whether this is the first time you have reached out for support, or you have had therapy before.

It can be daunting to ask for help, but Jess hopes that her relaxed and warm approach will help to put you at ease, so that you can build a trusting therapeutic relationship and work together to make sense of what has happened to you in your life. This will help you both to understand what you are currently struggling with, and how you can put things into place to overcome some of these challenges, and move you in the direction you are aiming for.

When you work together with Jess, you will use your expertise of your own life, and she will draw upon different psychological models to help you to jointly understand your life story. The approaches she draws upon include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Jess is currently training in EMDR (eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing).

Jess is a highly qualified clinical psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC, PYL37282). Jess has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a PGCert in Enhanced CBT for psychosis and bipolar, both from the University of Oxford. Jess also has a BSc Hons in Psychology from Loughborough University.
