Dr Claudia Alonso-Soriano

Dr Claudia is a Spanish-British Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience, working in the NHS and Privately. Dr Claudia has particular expertise in working with individuals who experience trauma, paranoia, hear voices, or are adjusting to long-term physical health conditions, such as diabetes or coeliac disease. She also supports people of all ages facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-esteem. Dr Claudia works with people experiencing difficulties in their relationships, and those adjusting to life transitions or undergoing significant life events. In 2025, she relocated to Japan for a year, where she focused on supporting the emotional wellbeing of individuals and families living in the region, particularly active military personnel and their families. She is neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ affirming and adapts interventions accordingly. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is able to offer therapy in either language.

In sessions, Dr Claudia’s priority is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. She will work collaboratively with you to explore the challenges you are facing, understand how past experiences may be affecting your present, and build on your strengths to move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Dr Claudia is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL38760) and the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA). She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) and additional postgraduate qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder, and in Family Interventions for Psychosis. She has also undertaken the Richmand EMDR Training.
